My name is Megan and I have been working in broadcasting for about five years. I have done a wide variety of jobs within radio stations and TV production.
My true passion is in audio production work: conducting interviews, writing scripts and at the end of the day, putting everything together to try and tell a compelling story.
I am very interested in exploring how social media can help me learn about people and organizations that I would want to talk to. There are so many wonderful things going on in the world around us, and I feel that social media is a way to help experience it. I also want to use social media to promote my produced works and to bring the stories I tell to a wider audience. Communication has always been an integral part of my career and I am starting to realize that it is imperative.
Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your interests and where you are focused on getting your story out to the many viewers via social media. The traditional media does not have the capcity to reach thousands or millions for that matter. I would agree, there are many ways to reach out to people. Once connected it changes everything.
Hi Megan. Interesting that your passion is about audio production. Have you looked at any of the current online tools to help you tell oral stories? I quite like the free http://soundcloud.com/ and it integrates easily with FB.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really interesting. I will check that out for sure!
DeleteHi Megan,
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting world you work in and I think it has probably changed so much recently, the tech side for sure, but also how you've had to change your approach to production to ensure it works on SM channels. Has it changed in the five years you've been working?
It really is interesting, the more you become immersed in communications, the more you realize exactly how important and complex it is. Like you, I love being able to share compelling stories, but what's the best way to spread the work? I know that I struggle reach new people/audiences and even to get my current audiences to stay engaged.
